HIKING AND BIKING

Historic Homes Zafig is the ideal starting point to discover the diverse mountain world of the Vinschgau. The Ortler group is calling with King Ortler, the highest mountain peak in South Tyrol. There are countless hiking trails along the Waale on the Vinschger Sonnenberg and there are many alpine pastures with great places to stop for refreshments and breathtaking mountain panoramas. You can also set off on foot from Historic Homes Zafig and undertake many beautiful hikes or mountain tours.

HIKING
You can start hiking directly from Historic Homes Zafig and explore the beautiful natural landscape that surrounds Latsch. A special highlight is the cable car to St. Martin am Kofel. The Ortler massif awaits alpinists with challenging routes and King Ortler, the highest mountain in South Tyrol at 3,905 meters.

 

BIKING
The Vinschgau has developed into a real bike Eldorado in recent years. Around Latsch there are countless trails of all levels of difficulty. The cycle route along the Vinschger Bahn is ideal for pleasure bikers to experience and enjoy the charming valley.

CULTURE
Latsch and the surrounding area also have a lot to offer for art and culture lovers. In Latsch there are, among other things, a few churches worth seeing. The most spectacular church interior with the Gothic Lederer altar from 1517 is preserved in its original form in the Hospital Church of the Holy Spirit.

 

CUISINE
There is a great selection of restaurants and refreshment stops in the area. Enjoy the award-winning cuisine in the gourmet restaurant Kuppelrain in  Castelbello. Drink a cold beer in the rustic beer cellar in Laces. Order an Italian pizza specialty in one of the pizzerias in the town.
